Adding a Volume
When the administrator creates a physical folder, KRIS automatically creates a folder volume. Volumes are typically used to limit the number of items, by partitioning records by month or by year.
A volume inherits the properties such as
- Retention schedule of the folder reference under which it is created.
- Security Grading determine the Roles and Users who can access the volume and control the permissions that are granted to each Role or User.
- and many more
To add a new Volume for a Physical/Hybrid Subject folder,
1. Click on Module Switcher at the top bar and select KRIS Administrator module.
2. Click on Manage Folder under Manage Classification section.
3. Click on Classification Tab for e.g. Subject.
4. Click on > to expand the classification.
5. Right click on a physical or hybrid folder on the tree view and click Add Volume.

The bew volume is created automatically and inherited all properties from the previous volume.
